About Truck Game
Truck games on the beach, real or imagined - what could be better for your mind and soul? Well, what with all the focus on the environment, taking a dune buggy to the beach may be restricted to a great extent, but that never deterred the sheiks in the Arabian peninsula to give up on this pastime. Can't picture anyone doing the same on a Hawaiian beach, though I am sure there are exceptions.
For us mere mortals, the virtual world offers a good alterative. Looking at online truck games such as Mad Truckers, Monster Trucks, Extreme Trucks, Dune Buggies ... and a host of others gets the fun back into life! The "trucks" in these games range from the dune buggies to the smaller pick-ups or Trucks and on to the really massive trailer trains.
Our review of one of the games, Dune Buggy:
Game: In this game you are required to drive the buggy over a host of obstacles and difficult terrain without flipping over and destroying the vehicle. The intention is to speed responsibly and drive exceptionally! There are numerous barriers to achieving this and the fun lies in overcoming the same.
Instructions: These were comprehensive and therefore added to the overall fun. The game controls were some of the most elaborate I have come across with a lot of options available through the use of a number of keys.
A little time spent on reading the instructions prior to the game followed by a little practice and you can do any number of things with the vehicle!
Graphics: The graphics were good, colourful and sharp, unlike some of the other games. The sizes of the images were big enough and the overall layout quite pleasing. The first few stages helped build up interest in the game and I am sure the "experts" will enjoy playing the more difficult stages.
Sound: What with crashing and other relevant sounds added this was definitely one of the games where care had been taken to give a more total experience A complete thumbs up on that count and therefore a pleasure to play this game. As always however, there is room for improvement
Complexity: Reasonably complicated, both beginners and veteran gamers should enjoy it. The game's design was good and contemporary but I am sure the designers are already coming up with new ideas.
Rating: The game is definitely one of the better ones reviewed so I'll go for an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best score.
This game was an interesting one to play. I liked the overall format, colour combinations used, the sound effects and most other things. Making the game more challenging would enhance the experience even further. So even though I don't get to dune buggy in Hawaii, or even for that matter in the Arabian deserts, I'll look forward to an even better virtual experience from the games designers next time around!
